Since the start of the year Science Club has evolved from soldering to also include studying!

Adhering to strict laboratory rules whilst working with molten metal which can reach up to temperatures of 330oC, we have made Christmas trees, flashing wands, and portable speakers. All we need to do is work on our technology skills to make them more aesthetically appealing.

Excellent positivity and perseverance has been shown by the young scientists, most of whom had never soldered before. Special thanks to Mr Lock for support and expert troubleshooting.

Alongside our usual creative tasks, year nine and ten students have been supporting each other in their science studies, with regular visits from students in the older years.

An especially impressive effort was made by Tara who is now an expert solderer!
