Test Registration opens – Tuesday 5th May 2026
You can register online from this date.

Deadline for Reasonable Adjustments to the Test – Friday 12th June 2026 – 4pm
This is the deadline for requesting reasonable adjustments are made to the entrance test to allow your child to access the paper, if for example they have a disability. Requests for adjustments must be submitted by this date along with all relevant evidence. Contact the Admissions office to request the relevant form.

Test Registration deadline – Friday 26th June 2026 – 4pm
If your form has been successfully submitted you will receive an automatic email immediately following submission. You will receive a second acknowledgement within 15 working days of receipt.

Registrations after this date will not be accepted and children will not be able to take the test.

Test information – Beginning of September 2025

In early September you will be sent information about the test and procedure for the day of the test. This will be posted to your home address. If you have not received this by 9 September, contact the Admissions office. Do not contact the office before 9 September.

Grammar Schools Entrance Test Date – Saturday 12th September 2026

Your child sits the entrance test on this date. It is likely that two sessions will be held (AM and PM). Your child will be allocated a session and you should therefore keep the whole of 17 September free from commitments.

Grammar Schools Test Results – by Wednesday 16th October 2026 – Note this is not the offer of a place.

The entrance test results will be sent prior to you completing your Local Authority preference form

Year 6 Open Morning – please register using the form on the website – Wednesday 23rd October + Thursday 24th October TBC

An opportunity to visit the school following the publication of the admission test results.

Local Authority Preference form deadline – Saturday 31st October 2026
All parents must complete a preference form in addition to registering your child for the test. These are distributed through primary schools or available through your home Local Authority (LA). The Grammar Schools in Birmingham does not issue LA preference forms. You are advised to wait for the entrance test results before applying for school places.

National School Offer Day – Monday 1st March 2027
Local Authorities will notify parents which School their child has been offered.

Open morning for Offer holders – Monday 8th of March 2027 TBC
Due to limited numbers this is a ticketed event. A link will be sent by the school following the admission offer.
